Lesson of the Day for my Choreography

"The cliche - there is nothing new under the sun - has been said so many times that nobody remembers who originally made the observation. When we try to create something new we have to acknowledge that we are simply reworking what we have been told and taught into the context of our experiences. The deeper you can investigate your experiences, the more you will have to offer as you create your own work. In terms of the elements of dance, the more you allow yourself to explore what you know about the time and space, and effort of your experience, the more you will have to offer as a choreographer."
