Dress Rehearsal Day

I performed at the cherry blossom festival in White Plains, New York yesterday.
Today, I am doing a dress rehearsal for the Long Island Cherry Blossom festival.
I will be presenting both dance and music on the stage at the Wang Center, as well as presenting a booth of my hand bags at the event.
I have to shoot some photos of my newly made tote bags
so that I can show them in my blog prior to the festival.
It is a bit of a crazy week for me!

Review of the White Plains Cherry Blossom Festival Part 2

I performed Shoshun No Mai (a dance of Spring) first, then
performed two folk songs.

I will introduce a video clip of my Sanshin play and singing later.

I performed after a children's dance performance.
 I enjoyed their dance program.

With Fujima Ryu (Ichifuji-kai) Japanese Dance members

Other performers were waiting for their time to perform
next to the stage.
This photo was taken at Turnure Park.
Before stage performance
This photo was taken at my home today.

Hanami Picnic Day

I went to Flushing Meadow Corona Park with my friends this afternoon.
It was breezy in the morning, but it was perfect weather in the afternoon for Hanami today.

We took some photos with my kimono and played the Sanshin, sang, danced, did karate.
Some people came to listen to our singing.
Some people danced to my Sanshin music and song.

Usually I attend the annual Cherry Blossom Festivals here and there and I am too busy preparing for stage performances, but today's picnic was totally relaxed and
I enjoyed viewing cherry flowers.
